About the event

Newsies Jr. is a musical that tells the story of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy who leads a strike against powerful newspaper publishers who raise prices at the newsboys' expense.

Set in turn-of-the-century New York City, the show celebrates the determination, resilience, and courage of young people as they unite to fight for justice and create a movement for change.

The vibrant score includes iconic songs like "Carrying the Banner," infusing the performance with the energy of Broadway. Inspired by the real-life Newsboy Strike of 1899, it highlights themes of unity and hope in the face of adversity.
