Playoff football is coming home to Sandwich, IL — and that is just Friday. This week packs two Chicago Bears games (including a rare Thursday night showdown), a marching band competition, and a family-favorite fall festival into seven days in DeKalb County. Here is your complete guide to the week of October 18–24, with a seat saved for you at Bull Moose Bar & Grille in downtown Sandwich.

Bears at Falcons Watch Party — Sunday, October 18 at Noon

The Bears travel to Atlanta and every snap is on the big screens at Bull Moose Bar & Grille, including the 98-inch. Kickoff is at noon, right in the middle of Sunday Funday Hour (12–2 PM), with $2 domestic drafts (16oz) and $3.50 Bloody Marys all day. Arrive early — Bears Sundays fill up fast in downtown Sandwich.

Musicfest at Sandwich Community High School — Sunday at 2 PM

Sunday is a doubleheader of a different kind: local marching bands take the field at Sandwich Community High School for Musicfest 2026, featuring a show-stopping performance from our own Renegade Regiment, plus food trucks and plenty of community pride. Catch the first half of the Bears game, cheer on the bands, then come back for dinner — the kitchen is open until 8 on Sundays.

Monday–Wednesday: Local Beef, Pumpkin Sips and a Bison Burger

Cheeseburger Monday is built on beef that never travels far — fresh from Dave's Meat Market and Smokehouse in Yorkville, IL, ground and grilled the way a burger should be. Make it a lunch run: loyalty members earn double points during lunch (11 AM–2 PM) Monday through Friday.

Tuesday brings Double Point Tuesday for CLUB members and the perfect excuse to try October's Drink of the Month: the Caramel Pumpkin White Russian — creamy, caramel-kissed, and made for crisp fall evenings.

Wednesday is for the bold: the Smokehouse Bison Burger, raised just down the road at Triangle Ranch in Sheridan, IL. Lean, smoky, and only around for a limited time.

Bears vs. Patriots — Thursday Night Football, October 22 at 7:15 PM

Bears football under the lights on a Thursday doesn't happen often. When it does, Bull Moose Bar & Grille is the place to watch: 7:15 PM kickoff from Soldier Field on every screen, $1 wings all night, $2.50 Miller Lite and Coors Light bottles, and $1 off rums, gins and bourbons. Bring the crew — this is the loudest room in Sandwich on a school night.

Playoff Football: Sandwich Indians Host Lisle — Friday, October 23 at 7 PM

For the third time in four seasons, the Sandwich Indians are playoff-bound — and this year they open AT HOME. The No. 13 seed Indians host No. 20 Lisle in the IHSA Class 3A opening round, Friday at 7 PM at Sandwich High School. Behind a ground game led by Wyatt Gregory's 1,200-plus rushing yards, Sandwich is chasing its first playoff win of the VanPelt era — and a shot at No. 4 Durand-Pecatonica next weekend. Pack the stands, wear your colors, and celebrate (or commiserate — but let's not) afterward at Bull Moose Bar & Grille: open until 9 on Fridays with $4 premium drafts, $1 off signature drinks and $4 bombs.

Harvest Moon at Knights Park — Saturday, October 24, 6–8 PM

The Sandwich Park District caps the week with Harvest Moon at James Knights Park: free hayrides, a kids' pumpkin decorating contest, a Halloween egg hunt and an inflatable obstacle course — no registration required. It is classic small-town fall fun for families from Sandwich, Plano, Somonauk, Yorkville and Newark alike. When the hay settles and the temperature drops, warm up two minutes away at Bull Moose Bar & Grille — hot comfort food, Saturday specials ($1 off all vodkas, $4.50 seltzers, $15 domestic buckets) and the kitchen open until 9.
